Every once in a while, someone will bring up the many signs I put up around me. Some think it is funny or curious. Some, a select few, recognise the deeper meaning.
But every sign exists, because ultimately, I found it ‘sign worthy’ or necessary to continue my attempt to help others … not annoy me.
I need not tell you the importance of a towel, this has been suitably covered in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. But I would rather like to speak to the state of a towel, much like the state of a particle, which can have many states of spin. For the time being, we will hold the discussion of the orbital angular momentum of a towel, but both indeed have profound consequences.
For many, a towel, being an object rarely known for moving very much, is thought of as being inanimate. Nothing could be further from the truth, other than perhaps a megalomaniacal narcissist member of the lucky sperm club embued with free reighn and a twitter account. Rather, a towel is born, fresh, warm, and delivered from the incubation womb of a well-set but delicate state of a dryer, Into the arms of a caring individual who should (as outlined), have the wherewithal to properly fold and store the towel safely, lest it is confused with towels of questionable origins or history.
Do not let your mind continue forward without regard and consideration for that last point. A towel unfolded or folded in a manner that hints at its lack of standing in society — could be an ill-received experience, and leave one in a state of despair. We need not dawdle on this further.
From here a towel’s adventures begin; travelling, hiding, supporting, wrapping, cleaning, drying, along with a myriad of other ‘ings’ and duties, but, always, prepared to serve. Its only requests; to be rewarded with a full cycle wash, using non-harsh detergents, and a returned to its natural state of perky preparedness.
Clearly, this is a symbiotic relationship, and all given towels depend on their relationship with a host or in some cases a surrogate caretaker to ensure this full and complete biorhythm.
Do not make the mistake of assuming these instructions, both harbouring clearly written tutelage, and concurrently unravelling a story pictographically, can be taken for granted. For it is a rara avis that can deliver the proper strike usually reserved for those dedicated to the martial arts required to impart the proper crease and permit for the desired fold.
